Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

There's not much on the menu so you figure hard to mess up an order esp. when they write it down and it's dead. We've been several times this summer and SEVERAL times they've messed up our simple orders. The staff aren't particularly pleasant either. When you point out their mistake(s) they act like it was you who made the mistake. Odd crew. Oh they ask for tips too!

We love this place, the reasonable price, and the delicious ice cream.

I have to admit, this is my first time coming here. This place was absolutely amazing. The staff workers were very friendly and informative. They made me feel like I belonged there, even though I don't really feel like I belong in this very quiet town... There are park benches outside in case you want to sit down as well. There's not much of a view except the highway however. My advice : come here for the Italian ice, and the experience of "excellent"customer service. It's a win win!!!!!

We love Rita’s! The La plata Md location is definitely one of the bests. They usually have teens working there who are also pretty friendly. I had the twisted custard with some peanut toppings, knowing I shouldn’t have, and it was delicious. Nice and fresh.
