Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Haven't been to Rita's in a few years. I used to enjoy the ices here. Mango is my favorite. Their ices are more like slushies. Not like the hard ices that have to be scrapped out of a big bucket. The flavors they offer are all pretty good. They're great to have on a really hot day. A nice way to cool off.

The customer service from the employees is truly amazing – they’re kind, patient, and hardworking. However, the condition of the facility is unacceptable. The place constantly smells like vomit or sewage, and it’s absolutely disgusting. It’s very concerning that the staff is expected to work in such an environment. Depends on when you go, some of the staff are very nice and some not so much. The ice cream there does melt pretty quickly but what I found is some employees make things differently. For example one girl that has been working there for a while she made my blendie with a larger cup and mixed it well, which is how I’ve gotten it for the last couple of years. Meanwhile a boy that works there gave me it in a small cup and hasn’t mixed it at all. It was disappointing but what can you do. P.s: paid 7.24 for this too.

I’ve been to this place in person before once in a blue and did not know this is what will arrive if I did delivery. I ordered through door dash this store is 5 mins away from me. Not only did the food not look as pictured, but I received incorrect and “dug” out food. There was no tamper free packaging especially during a pandemic. I usually come here with no problems except for tonight. I had two sick kids who all they wanted was Ritas so I went out to pick it up. I checked the closing time which was 10pm. I arrived at 9:10pm. The door was locked. A guy nicely tried to mouth to me that they were closed while the girl pretended like I didn't exist. I pointed to their sign that said 10pm and he shrugged. This has happened to me once before here. I went to the one in Middlesex. If you say you're open until 10, you can't just decide to close at 9.
