River Village Family Restaurant

This is a nice cozy little comfort food establishment. I ate here with a party of two. They serve breakfast all day, and their food was definitely on point! I am a Graduate of Western Culinary Institute. It was a French cooking school in Portland, Oregon. I developed a love for diverse cuisine and culinary experiences. I love seeing these kinds of places serving quality food. The menu was extensive and the prices were fair. Great local vibe! Will definitely return when I am in the area.

Two words: chicken gyro. DELICIOUS. The side of fries is enough for 2-3 people but they are also delicious, even better on the gyro!

I wanted to go in and try this restaurant. I ordered three fish cod meal and I didn’t want the French fries, so he did bring me a salad instead. The salad came and it looked as it came a bag that was already shredded. It was brown on some areas. He brought the coleslaw. It did not taste at all good. When he brought out the three fish, two of them half of it was burnt. I couldn’t even eat the outside. I would not go back to this place again the food is nasty. The guy there was friendly but they need better cooks.

We like dining here in this Mom and Pa feeling atmosphere. The service was excellent as was the food. I had greek spinach pie and lemon rice soup. I feel it is the best in comparison to all others I have had. My friend had country fried chicken and real mashed potatoes. The servings are large and we took half of our food home, as we did our rice pudding. This is the place to eat if you want homemade food!

Talk about a hidden gem. This place gave me great vibes when I walked into the restaurant. It gave me that Sunday sitting at grandma's vibe. Everyone was super nice and friendly, the place is right off 75 so it's easy to access. The food was absolutely delicious! It felt 100% homemade. I got the Shepards pie and a side of 2 biscuits. My girlfriend got the Cajun shrimp Linguine. Both were very flavorful and fulfilling and in expensive. Rice pudding also comes with your meal for desert. I had it warm with cinnamon and whipped cream. I told my girlfriend it tasted like a holiday in my mouth. I love places like these. We will be back soon. A must try!
