Riviera Beach Library - Anne Arundel County Public Library

This is a beautiful library with modern technology and design. There’s outdoor seating for nice days and a large parking lot with plenty of spaces. Also the exterior design is bright and vibrant which is just a nice energy for a library. Probably one of the best libraries I’ve been to in MD.

As someone from a minority background, I’ve always valued libraries as inclusive spaces for everyone. However, during our visits in the mouth of June, I noticed certain themed displays and events that didn’t align with my family’s values. While I understand these were part of seasonal programming, I felt that the focus wasn’t inclusive of families like mine. It’s important that public spaces remain welcoming to people from all walks of life — including those with different cultural or personal perspectives. I hope the library considers a more balanced approach going forward. (Repost because apparently people with my views get silenced and have their reviews removed).

WOW...All I can say is the county did an amazing job with the library design and the new build. Very very nice inside with lots to utilize, computers, study rooms, plenty of seating, children play area, bathrooms and meeting rooms. Very impressive!

The newly Renovated Rivera Beach library is definitely a place you would love to visit along with your kids. Not just for a memorable book study tour but for the serenity and its touch of cleanliness. Meanwhile, my observation is that there seems to be a repetitive error in the study room alloted time managed by the front desk personnel. At different days, I have been told by a staff person to vacate a study room that was legitimately assigned to me by another staff member; And this usually happens as soon as there is a change of shift. This staff person addresses me like there wasn't a record that clearly indicates how much time I should have the room for. I mean one time is understandable but when this is beginning to become a pattern, then management definitely needs to look into it.

Worth the wait. Bright, open space easy to navigate. Cute, comfortable seating areas. Love the idea of the silent rooms and personal work cubbies. Friendly, helpful staff.
