I can’t believe I’ve been coming here for almost 10 years and haven’t left a review yet. This place blows me away every single time, without fail. The food is delicious, ambiance is so warm and inviting, and the staff is always friendly and attentive (shout out to Chris, Chrysta, D, & Karli! Not to mention everyone else)! Roberto’s is a staple in Northampton and I may just have to name my first son Roberto.
First off, I'm extremely disappointed in myself for not taking a picture of my shrimp scampi dinner before I ate it. For those of you who actually follow me, you know that is not how I roll. So I apologize for that. With that being said. I am just gonna come out and say that this was by far the best shrimp scampi I have ever had! HANDS DOWN! This was one of those extremely rare moments where I left the restaurant wanting more. The longer I waited in-between bites, the better it got! The sauce was out of this world. I dont know what I was more upset about, the fact that I left wanting more or the fact that I wish I saved some to take home. This little hole in the wall restaurant in downtown Northampton is a hidden gem that I never knew existed. I drive by here almost every day, and if it
This was stop three on my weekend in Northampton. After hearing about it for years I figured I works give it a try. (Same name and practically the same logo as the Roberto's I worked at in South Windsor. Different owners). I found myself in a crowded bar I until I walked around the back side and found more room. (I only sit at the bar). I had two Tito's and tonics, mussels, and a large pizza with egg plant. The Tito's and tonics are hard to mess up, the mussels were good. The garlic bread meh. The pizza was definitely not the best. (Some locals thought it was). Thin crust, decent amount of cheese and toppings but not the best. Pizza is a staple for me. Especially coming from CT where new Haven coal or wood fired pizza is king.
We made a reservation definitely a good idea if not you could wait 30 to 45 minutes But even if you have to wait it's worth it. Very good dinner
Instead of being greeted with hello, me and my friend were "greeted" with "sorry we're actually closed" an hour before the restaurant's posted closing time. I also work in a restaurant so I completely understand closing the kitchen before closing the store itself to get staff home at a reasonable time, but this only works if guests actually know before they try to come in. Or if they were informed in a kinder way, it felt like being thrown out 3 seconds after entering the building. Would suggest adding signage, or something to the website.
