Rooster's Southern Corner

How can you not make cornbread right at a southern restaurant? The cornbread was dry and had no flavor. I couldn't eat more than one bite. I'd like people from outside the south to know how good southern cooking is, and this restaurant is not an example. The mashed potatoes tasted like KFC mashed potatoes. The country fried steak was average. The green beans and cabbage were good. I gave this restaurant a try based on the 4.6 star rating. I will not be back. If you're looking for good southern food in Atlanta go to the OK Cafe. Their greens are really good and the white and brown gravy for their mashed potators are delicious.

UPDATE: I inhaled it and sucked on the gd bones🤣🤣🤣 This was my first experience. Im eating as I type i just couldn't wait to tell everyone how good this food is!! Every bite. Falling off the bone. I work in Douglasville but I'd travel here on my lunch break any day😍 The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I was in and out in under 5 minutes! 100000/10

You order meats and sides and everything is so well-priced and delicious. Everything tastes like a true southern grandma is in the back of the kitchen.

I just discovered this place for the first time about 2 weeks ago and now come here about every other day. It is SOOO good, the food is like what I grew up on in the Deep South, it is delicious and a taste of home. It is super reasonably priced and everyone who works there is so nice. This is a gem in Villa Rica!
