Rooted Coffeehouse Downtown

Great coffee! The atmosphere is impeccable! the seasonal crepes, any of the crepes really, are delish. The Lox and other sandwiches are, too. Your staff appear to embody your mission and are so friendly. We love Rooted!

Food is good for the most part, but it does feel overpriced. Crepes are tiny. Vibes and atmosphere are really good. Seating might be a little bit limited if it’s super busy.

I really wanted to enjoy my visit here. I really did. However, the staff is condescending and borderline rude. My Mom didn't like the super matcha at ALL so when I brought it up to return after a sip, fully expecting and intending to pay for a " normal" for her I didn't appreciate being asked... Does your mom even like matcha? Yes girl. She drinks it eeeeeveryday. But that super matcha is funky. Not a smile and barely even any eye contact. Oh no, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it.. nothing said. Nothing. Yes I tipped. No I won't be back. $40+. There are too many lovely coffee shops in the area for me to feel unwelcome getting my sips. The avocado toast and crepes are good, but not that good. I'll be sticking over with Cavaliers in NA.

Charming little coffee shop on the corner with a friendly staff and plenty of windows, letting in the sunlight. Several seating options (Easily enough for 40+ people): couches, table and chairs, high top bar counter w/chairs. They offer an assortment of pastries and toasts. My wife and I had the avocado toast. The whole wheat bread was good, but we would have preferred it to be toasted a bit more to give it a nice crunch. (It also was delivered before our drinks so he may have lost some of the crunch as we were waiting on our coffee) I had an Americano coffee. The beans are roasted locally (I believe) and mine appeared to be made with a lighter roast. Good flavor notes. My wife had the superfood matcha and said it was "interesting". She loves her matcha and this one was just not a favor
