Reliable for some slices on my regular pilgrimage to Trader Joe's. Plain slices were easy to feed to my kid - lighter on the sauce so less messy - but for myself I'd go for the margherita slices - which are heavier on the sauce. Also, you didn't ask, but I saw the one star review about someone getting yelled at for not asking to use a bathroom for their kid. C'mon - unless it's a Starbucks, you ask to use the restroom if you're not buying anything. And if they are nice about it, you buy something anyway if ya can.
Whenever I visit New Jersey from Michigan, one of my favorite stops is Rosario’s at Willow in Hoboken. They serve hands down the best pizza around—always fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. What makes this place even more special is the people behind it. The owner, John, and his son Dardan, are incredibly kind and welcoming. They treat every customer like family and make you feel right at home the moment you walk in.
Albeit limited options, the pies/slices are always on point. I hear their food is delicious as well. But in the few times I’ve stopped in for pizza, I’ve never been disappointed. I’m a tough critic when it comes to Buffalo chicken pizza, and theirs is excellent.
Rosario's: Your Local Italian Oasis (and Potential Witness Protection Program)** Oh, Rosario's, how I never knew you existed during my decade in Hoboken! It took moving to Weehawken, a brutal ShopRite traffic jam, and a hungry, indecisive wife for me to stumble upon this absolute gem of a restaurant. Google said you were nearby, and thankfully, Google didn't lie. Let’s set the scene: I walk into Rosario’s and immediately hit it off with the owner, a Yankees fan (instant trustworthiness unlocked). As we're chatting, a mysterious man eating bolognese pizza and dipping bread in oil hits me with a cryptic "Who are you?" Naturally, I responded, "I’m a Lombardi, who are you?"—to which he replies, "I’m nobody," and vanishes like he’s auditioning for a mafia movie. Honestly, it was cinematic bri
The flavor of the pizza was just ok. But in Hoboken, with about 50 pizza places in one square mile, can you honestly say you would go out of your way for a slice that looks like this? Uninspiring.
