If you are expecting the level of a Katz's Deli, then you will be disappointed. However, this is nevertheless a very solid Jewish style deli. I ordered takeout, and started with the Matzoh Ball Soup. The broth was tasty, not too salty, and had plenty of carrots. I would have liked fewer onions, but otherwise the broth was fine. The matzoh ball had a nice fluffy texture, but the taste was a bit bland. The matzoh ball could definitely use a little more seasoning. I also had a Pastrami on Rye. I liked that they offered 3 different sandwich sizes. I chose the middle which was plenty for me. The pastrami was thinly sliced, tender, but did not have the rich flavor profile of a higher end deli. This place is not bad, as long as you temper expectations.
Any port in a storm, Rosenfeld’s was a refuge for us while on vacation after a recent loss and it was exactly what we needed to reconnect to our Jewish identity. Offering a traditional Jewish menu they checks all the right boxes, barrel of pickles, plentiful dishes with lox, babka French toast, everything bagels galore and one of the most interesting takes on latkas I’ve ever had they seem to have it all. Prepared to near perfection (sadly they burned my side of bacon to a crisp) the food is tasteful but not overbearing and plentiful. Served by super friendly though folks in a unique atmosphere with some of the most creative must see murals it was an enjoyable experience. Service was a little slow but that spoke more to a lack of staffing on a Friday morning and nothing against the effo
Hubby and I first went to Rosenfeld's in Ocean City many years ago & loved it! We were excited when they opened a location in Lewes, but this location never really measured up in service compared to the other location & over the last year has gotten increasingly worse. My husband is Jewish and very used to the classic Jewish delis in Phili, etc. After several times of getting the wrong food, he stopped going a couple of years ago. I was over helping out a friend and looking for a yummy dinner. I thought a good pastrami sandwich would fit the bill and what girl (my friend) couldn't use good dose of Matzah Ball Soup and a Reuben while recovering from open heart surgery!! She said her sandwich and the soup were good, but I did notice her soup had very little chicken & veggies. It was late & m
Came here back in September and ordered 5 sandwiches and an appetizer. Only received 4 sandwiches and our pickle platter. Called to see if we could come back for the last sandwich, but they said they were closing. Requested a reimbursement and was told that they took care of it. I asked if they could send a digital receipt, but they reassured me that it was already charged back. It was never reimbursed. The food was good, and we especially liked the pickle platter, but because of this experience we will not be returning to this establishment.
We were out and about in Rehoboth running errands around lunch time. My mother had looked up Rosenfeld's prior to us moving to DE and was looking forward to eating here. Started of with them not having tongue which was exactly what my mother wanted. She settled for matzoball soup and 1/2 pastrami sandwich. My aunt had matzoball soup and a round potato knish (knish was good the next day). I opted for matzoball in chicken noodle soup and 1/2 adult grilled cheese sandwich - hold the American cheese (swiss and munster were remaining). They brought me back plain matzoball soup and a swiss and cheddar grilled cheese because they were out of munster cheese. I did not want cheddar ... why not ask me before making it?! The Atmosphere was pretty cool with the illustrations having you using your min
