Rovali's Ristorante Italiano

I’m an extreme pasta connoisseur and this place caught my eye on Google. I had the angel hair tomato basil (a customer favorite) and I was absolutely delighted. The noodles were homemade and fresh, the sauce was so flavorful and it was served steaming hot. It came with a salad and one of the best rolls I’ve ever had! The bread was crispy and seemed like it was baked fresh. We also started off with a Mama’s meatball appetizer which was AMAZING. A giant meatball covered in mozzarella cheese with hearty meat sauce and some garlic bread. The entire meal here was an experience. The food was subpar and the definition of mid. I got the Rovali tour which had the ravioli, lasagna with meatballs sauce, and the fettuccini Alfredo. Nothing really stood out. The best thing was the garlic roll which was decent at best. Service was good.

TLDR: Dining in the restaurant isn't bad, ordering delivery you'd be better off playing Russian roulette. We have eaten at the location a few times, wait times for a restaurant in Ogden are high every time we have gone. Food is awesome if you eat there. Environment and atmosphere are ok, not great but not bad. Service is hit and miss, some are amazing some made me wonder if I'd have been better off ordering from the wall. Fast forward to the delivery. Do you like Tiramisu that has fermented? Do you like food poisoning? Do you like paying more to have food brought to you that is luke warm and roughly half the serving size? Do you like getting tomato flavored water with a couple bits in it instead of Minestrone soup? Had a great experience were seated very quickly by the hostess who was also the owner. He explained the menu and was very welcoming. Definitely a family business with an at home feel.

We had a really nice evening at Rovali’s Ristorante Italiano. The restaurant has a charming and cozy Italian feel, and the outdoor patio area especially creates a relaxing atmosphere that’s perfect for a dinner with family or friends. The pasta dishes were flavorful and comforting, with rich sauces and well-balanced seasoning. The garlic bread and salad were also a great start to the meal. Everything felt homemade and nicely prepared.
