What a place. My boyfriend and I stopped by Not So Hungry for a quick bite, planning on one taco each and a beer. That plan didn’t last long. We ended up ordering four more—and these are not small tacos. The staff was genuinely friendly, and the kitchen ran impressively efficiently; our food came out quickly with zero lag. I loved how they offer all their salsas in bottles, not in those tiny disposable containers where you have to be careful not to overdo or run out before you finish your tacos. The tacos were outstanding. We tried the beef, pork, shrimp, and birria, and every single one was excellent. We’ll definitely be back.
Best burritos in town!! And I’m Mexican, so I know what I’m talking about. The micheladas are incredible and made the right way. Omar, the owner, is friendly and genuinely cares about his customers. We live nearby and come here all the time, especially when family visits. It’s our go to spot when we want them to experience a real California burrito. 10/10
The food here is absolutely amazing! Started and ended our vacation in San Diego here. Omar is one of the nicest guys and so helpful in making choices. He recommended the carnitas tacos and they did nit disappoint. He, alone, will bring people back for the amazing menu options. The pollo asade nachos were my favorite, by far. The beans? Oh man, if I can gush about beans, you know they are unreal. We can't wait to come back and visit.
Food is amazing. Corn tortillas are tasty, grilled fish taco is delicious. But the Carnitas burrito is other worldly. Lots of carnitas. Just the perfect amount of guacamole with a melt in your mouth tortilla. Heated through to perfect eating temperature. They also provide 3 sauces. I only tried 2 but couldn’t decide which I liked more.
I was staying in downtown San Diego so I saw this place had really good reviews for Mexican food. I got there at 11:15 am and I got there before the lunch rush. I ordered a Fried Fish Taco and a Surf Taco. The Fried Fish Taco was really nice, good balance of everything and the tortillas were fresh. The Surf Taco is a Carne Asada with Shrimp Taco, this was solid as well but I liked the Fried Fish Taco better. The employee was super nice but the only downside is no open salsa bar here.
