4.5 stars. This Nepalese-owned café finally opened in September after what felt like a very long three-year wait. I think a lot of people were starting to wonder if it was ever going to happen. Most of the offerings here leans toward Italian/French/American, and I didn’t really notice much Nepalese or Asian influence aside from the matcha latte. We tried the banana bread ($3.50), pinole cookies ($2.25), and macarons ($1.50 each). The macarons and pinoles were on the smaller side, which I didn’t mind. There were about five macaron flavors and we tried one of each—pistachio and crème brûlée were my favorites. The pinole cookies were crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and topped with toasted pine nuts. I really enjoyed these and wished I’d gotten more. The Banana Bread, while not
I discovered this cafe on my way to work one day and am so glad I decided to stop by on my lunch break. I was immediately greeted by the barista, Marly, who was very knowledgeable about the products and drinks on the menu. I ended up getting a (delicious) latte and a macaroon, which I enjoyed while listening to the calming jazz music before heading back out. I highly recommend this adorable cafe and will definitely be returning
It was a very rainy day and I had the urge to get some coffee. I recalled this cafe that had just opened after seemingly centuries of wait and decided to give it a try. As for substance, I got an iced lavender oat latte (or something like that) which was phenomenal; although, the coffee was rather strong. In retrospect, it was likely because I had asked for 50% sugar. As for customer service, It was professional and polite; the only staff member seemed happy to be there. Overall, the Royal Corner Cafe is a great choice, especially for locals, for some great coffee and cozy vibes. Moreover, if the cafe is indeed Nepalese owned, I am ever the more satisfied as a fellow Nepali myself.
Took them a while to open, but it was worth the wait. Coffee is amazing, and competitively priced. The staff are very friendly and great at what they do at atmosphere is very cozy. If you haven’t had a chance to pass by, do yourself a favor drop by and try it for yourself
I was excited to try this new local spot and really wanted to support them. The service was fine, and I ordered a small hot chocolate with whipped cream and a cake pop. The sign listed the hot chocolate at $4.00 and the cake pop at $1, but my total came to $8.50, which was a bit confusing. I also noticed the hot chocolate was made with syrup, and the flavor tasted watered down, so it wasn’t my favorite. I’m hoping it was just an off day and look forward to seeing them grow and improve.
