Rubio's Coastal Grill

On March 3rd, my wife placed an order through the Rubio’s app, but the wrong order from a different restaurant was delivered by the DoorDash driver. I contacted DoorDash, and they explained that since the order was placed through the Rubio’s app, Rubio’s would need to handle the refund. When I called Rubio’s, the person who answered the phone (I don’t believe he was a manager) was extremely rude and insisted that DoorDash was responsible. He then placed me on hold for a very long time without providing any real help. My wife and I really enjoy Rubio’s and have been loyal customers, but the way this situation was handled was very disappointing. The person who answered the phone could definitely benefit from better customer service training.

Ordered a surf & turf bowl with an extra side of black beans through Uber Eats. Pretty generous portion, I couldn’t finish it. The beef was whatever, I’d rather have chicken. The shrimp was decent. Not too bad.

First visit in over a year since they closed Cerritos store and the Downey location didn't disappoint. Fresh ingredients and full flavors make the perfect burrito, Cali steak in my case. Customer service top notch and the salsa bar separates Baja from other chains. Will return sooner than later next time.

I had to come back to this place. I placed my order a young lady took my order down also was very helpful. The coastal trio plate was very good the batter was very very crunchy, also the corn tortilla was also good. The mahi mahi two taco plate was also good with corn tortilla. I enjoyed my meal was very full and satisfied.

The atmosphere was nice, the employees and manager behind the counter…. Not so inviting. I wasn’t greeted or felt welcomed whatsoever. I bought a kids meal from here and it looked like they just threw it in the bad and gave my daughter the left over lettuce and cabbage from the fish tacos.
