Ruby's NY Style Bagels

Solid bagel spot. The bagels are delicious and they have lots of choices to choose from, which I loved. The only thing I will say is I do not think I have ever said a bagel had too much cream cheese, but this one did. It was interesting because each of us got different amounts on ours, so maybe there just needs to be a bit more consistency there. Overall though, delicious and I would still come back. Loved the variety of options they offered.

Placed an online order, once I got home after picking up the order the order was wrong. All the bagels I had ordered were egg bagels, all the bagels I received were wrong. I asked for one with no cheese, 2 of them didn’t have any cheese. If they were sold out of egg bagels they could have gotten in contact with me, as my order had all of my contact information.

First visited Ruby’s Mt. Pleasant location a few years ago when my son moved to Patriot’s Point. Bagles were really good! Originally coming from New Jersey/ NYC area these bagels are authentic, the real thing. Recently relocated to SC and found the Summerville location ( there are 6 total I’m told). Happy to have found a location close to my new home. Choices are many, spreads are fresh, hot choices are fresh made and delicious. Seating is good, store has that old school NYC atmosphere.

I really enjoy stopping by Ruby’s Bagels for breakfast or a quick lunch. Their bagels are consistently fresh with that perfect chewy inside and lightly crisp outside, and there’s a great variety of flavors to pick from. The breakfast sandwiches are tasty and filling, and the coffee pairs well if you’re trying to jump-start your morning. Service has been friendly and pretty efficient on most of my visits, even when there’s a bit of a line. The atmosphere feels welcoming and laid-back without dragging things out. I also like that they sometimes have seasonal specials and fun cream cheese options that keep the menu interesting. The only reasons I’m at four stars instead of five: prices run a little higher than some basic bagel spots, and occasionally a popular flavor is sold out if you get
