Good service, nice atmosphere. But let’s be real, the food is shockingly underwhelming. We ordered Dan Dan noodle ( with two fire signs) and northern styles noodles (with three fire signs) and neither of them were spicy. The northern style described as bold flavor but the broth tasted exactly like the Dan Dan noodle which is mid beef soup with vinegar, at least the short rib was good meat. Overall I feel I’m losing my Chinese heritage with each bite of this noodle.

Perfection on a chilly night. The noodles are made before your very eyes. The classic soup noodle is elegant and filling. The special short rib noodle is impressive both in taste and portion size. Service is quick and gracious. I usually don’t frequent restaurants more than once … I mean we live in nyc! But I will go back to Rulin. Looking forward to them building out their menu.

It’s the perfect NYC intimate space for some soothing noodles and soup. Very tasty and fresh.

Great place for Chinese food! Came with a friend on a Thursday night and had a reservation. The shop itself is small so I would recommend making a reservation, but there were tables for walk ins. The restaurant specializes in noodles, as most of the menu was to choose between a soup noodle or a dry noodle. I personally got the northern style noodle soup with pork belly and really enjoyed it! Definitely a good amount of spice, meat was tender, and noodles bouncy and chewy! Service was quick and the interior is very beautiful.
