Rustic Mill Diner & Pancake House

This has been our go to breakfast spot for several years on Sunday mornings with my family. Food and service is always good. Plenty of parking in the rear is a bonus. Have to try the pancake wrap with scrambled eggs,sausage, cheese with corn beef hash. Delicious 😋

I have been there several times and this is not a one off - Cons: There are dirty stained ceiling tiles and missing ceiling tiles in the dining area. That is not sanitary. The bathroom is not clean. The food is okay. On our most recent visit the waitress was not very accommodating and got one of our orders completely wrong. It came out in dribs and drabs and some of it was cold. Pros: large open space, plenty of parking. Comprehensive menu with lots of choices. Been there on a few other occasions and have had friendly and accommodating service. Summary: I would give it one more try but if those ceiling tiles are not changed I can't eat and those conditions so that would be my last visit.

My girlfriend and I visit The Rustic Mill Diner occasionally. It's your typical Diner fair, exactly what you would expect. I do like the home fries. They are a little crispy and go well with over easy eggs. Moderately priced and if you're looking for a diner a solid place to have a bite. The desert display when you walk in could use a little sprucing up and maybe highlight the cakes but after all it's cake!

This diner is a good breakfast spot. They have a very extensive menu. The service has always been good here. The place is clean and the food is good. The restaurant does need some updating. On our last visit the roof was leaking by the entrance and there was a bucket to catch the water. Free parking is available in a dedicated lot in back.

Very traditional diner with that delicious unique smell. Lisa our server was fantastic. I had the pancakes w well done bacon which were scrumptious, the wife had a chicken sandwich w vodka sauce which was delicious and cooked to perfection (btw with real chicken breast). Had to run so couldn’t try a dessert, next time I will try. French fries cooked btw perfectly. 👍👍. Manager extremely welcoming and greeted with a nice smile. Obviously a well run NJ landmark.
