Ruth's Chris Steak House

Had a great dinner at Ruth Chris. The New York strip was seasoned and cooked excellent. For sides we had the jalapeno corn, au gratin potatoes, and shoestring fries. Felt as all the sides were just ok. I love shoestring fries but these were so small of shoestring that they were just crispy potatoes strings. But it's the steak that will keep you coming back.

Delicious steak and burger (just don't sleep on the mouth-watering sides), extremely gracious staff that were very welcoming and personable, and went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. The atmosphere itself is already worth the visit alone. Outdoor seating yields a pleasant vibe for people-watching while sipping on a cocktail and enjoying your food. Well kempt area, ideal for both cold weather (heating lamps) and warm weather. My recommendation is to enjoy their heavily discounted happy hour offerings during lunchtime as a fun way to visit the riverwalk; the elegance and sophistication on display in their presentation, the tasty grub, and the engaging atmosphere all combine to create a memorable visit.

I made a reservation for Valentines day and took my husband and my parents to Ruths Chris Steak House. It was a very busy day, full of traffic so we arrived a few minutes past our initial reservation (they give a 15 minutes grace period). I was relieved that Valet was included when you dine here so that took a lot of the headache of finding parking in downtown San Antonio. Service and Food: Our service and the food was swift and taken with great care. Our server was fantastic and really did a great job helping us figure out what to order for someone who was dining here for the first time. Our waiter even recommended my father who is peculiar about his steak (liked it rare, but the outside to be crispy) to order his steak Pittsburg Style which he ended up loving. This IS the place to eat. Bring the wife, the fiance, the girlfriend, the husband, mom/dad who ever. The customer service, food, drinks all the way down to the bread was spectacular. Sit at the bar and enjoy the amazing mixed drinks, ask for Ernesto for sure. Not to mention the amazing mouthwatering steaks. Hands down the best!! Frank the manager is the main man you have to meet. All I can say overall is Perfection!! Tell him Danny sent you!!

Absolutely fantastic dinner at Ruth’s Chris San Antonio. Our drinks—a Pomegranate Martini and a Smoked Old Fashioned—were spot on. We ordered the 6 oz and 8 oz steaks, both medium rare, paired with lobster and crab-stuffed shrimp. The steaks had that perfect crust and melt-in-your-mouth center, and the seafood was wonderfully juicy. The au gratin potatoes and lobster mac & cheese were rich, comforting, and worth every calorie. Every dish hit the mark. A must-visit for steak lovers.
