So far out of every place that I have tried- this is my favorite go to spot in Philly for authentic Indian food. Every single time I order it's ready fast, packaged well, hot, fresh, & tasty. I am vegetarian & my favorite dish to order is Aloo Boghi which is cauliflower & potatoes cooked in a skillet with cumin and ginger! Fav app is the veggie samosas & the garlic naan is top tier! Pictured is my takeout order of the cauliflower & potato dinner! The restaurant is always clean & the service is friendly.
Our White American host took us there on recommendation of his local friend. The restaurant was clean and ambiance and decor was simple and nicely done. Food was good. Especially the Lamb Biryani, i could say the best tasty biryani I had ever in my any of the foreign trips. It was spicy up to the mark i need always. All other curries were good as well. Overall i would rate it 9/10.
The food quality was subpar, leading to a substantial financial and time investment that was ultimately rendered futile. The food was discarded, and I will not be returning to this establishment in the future. The saffron name was misleading, as it did not accurately reflect the actual quality of the food. I cannot provide a rating of less than one star.
The food was very good. I asked for my lamb tikka massala spicy and it definitely was. The flavor was good. Overall, pretty good Indian food!
Fresh Ingredients! The restaurant itself looks sub par, nonetheless, I only get a lentil soup during times of fasting and giving myself a break from meat and it’s always good. I recommend Dal Tarka. It is advertised as yellow lentils combined with tomato, ginger and Indian spices (it does have onions in it too) Cons: Parking
