Customer Reviews
I have been coming to Saffron since I moved to VB over 5 years ago. I am always pleased with the food, and it’s consistently flavorful and well done. The menu is traditional for an Indian style restaurant, and the culture is abundant. I highly recommend the Aloo Gobi. Great vegetarian and gluten-free items. Saffron is authentic and delicious!
Honestly after being open 18 years, there is a reason Saffron continues to dominate the Indian food game!! Service is always TOP Notch, and the environment is so welcoming. Naan is amazing and any entrée you get will knock your socks off!! Spice level 2 is pretty spicy-- im Hispanic and its a comfortable spice for me
By far one of the best Indian restaurants on the east coast. The quality of food and superb service made my stay at Virginia Beach. The family owned staff was very pleasant and accommodating to allergy and diet. The spices and meats they use are fresh and bring out the color and taste of each dish they serve. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area and looking for authentic and high quality Indian food with an excellent staff. Also, the speciality drinks they serve is an added treat. A MUST TRY!
One of the best we have eaten at in the US. Great at "spice from 1-5". Vegan friendly, GF. Really good multi-note spices I grew up in England, where many great Indian restaurants, and struggle to find now in US (for 35 years). Lived in NYC, Boston, Asheville. Had lunch Thursday with adult kids who agreed. Had dinner Saturday with my SIL and husband who have never had Indian despite being over 70. They loved.
Food is good. Serving size is good. Ambiance is good. Servers were awkwardly good. They tried to be friendly, but I feel the hesitation. Authentic Indian, and we really enjoyed our meal. The smell of the spices welcomes you as you walk in. It’s not that subtle but not that strong also. A notch down would have been perfect, but it’s okay. The restroom is okay, but it needs air freshener. Overall, a bit pricey, but it’s authentic and a goat (good) experience. Yup. I tried goat, and it’s good. 👌🏼😅👍🏼
