Sahara Cafe & Mediterranean Foods

Went twice during my time in Sarasota, and I really enjoyed grabbing lunch here! I’m a huge fan of Lebanese cuisine, so I’ll definitely be back next time. Everything I tried was delicious: the kebbeh, falafel, and kaftas were all amazing. I even took some feta to go, perfect for salads!

We have been coming to this place for a long time and we really love the food. It's clean and tasty. We always ordered falafel sandwiches, shawarma, and Tabouleh. All the food on the menu was tasty and delicious. You can taste the food where homemade. The owner was very humble and kind.They also have mediterranean grocery products. If you are in the area, it's a must to check out this place!

To go order. I always judge a restaurant by their carry out because it reveals how much they really care about the customer experience and quality. Everything was AMAZING!!! I don’t think the baklava was very fresh but everything else was & it was still delish. Kibbeh was amazing. Kafta was great. Pita was warmed perfectly. Spanikopita was perfect, crispy flaky, etc. Perfect first experience. Will definitely come again.

Casual little place in Sarasota where the beef shawarma was absolutely delicious! The meat was tender, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were generous. Definitely one of the best shawarma plates I’ve had — I’ll be back

I found this just searching on the map and the reviews and menu looked good. Stopped in with a group and was quite impressed and happy with my choice. The food was very good, and flavorful. the prices are very reasonable and portions are good. The Kafta was very flavorful and the falafel was fresh and tasty and everything was good. It’s also cool that they have many grocery items including sour cherry jam. Highly recommend.
