Stopped in for Sunday Lunch. What an amazing experience! The sushi rolls were fresh, and very delicious. Had tempura calamari and a California roll. Ordered three entrees: teriyaki chicken, tempura udon, and bulgogi udon. The only thing better than the food was the owners! Extremely excellent timing they made us feel like family. I highly recommend stopping in, and be prepared to be impressed! Love this place! Will be back!
I cannot fathom why there are only 4 stars?! So delicious. We came with family that have been eating here for decades and decided it is the best around. The ramen is plentiful, teeming with ingredients and incredibly flavorful. Miso ramen especially was so. very. good. Go here! Support this small family-owned business. We loved everything we had.
I’ve visited Saica in Ann Arbor for the third time, and the food has been consistently excellent — highly recommended. The sashimi salad comes with very fresh vegetables and generous portions of fresh sashimi. The tempura udon has a wonderfully clean, refreshing broth, and the tempura is served separately in a plentiful portion. In the sushi, the amount of fish is noticeably greater than the rice, which I really appreciated. The Volcano roll is also delicious, with the ingredients and sauce blending perfectly to create a well-balanced spicy flavor. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Definitely a place I recommend.
We went in and the lady was super nice, she had us sit down (there are many tables with four chairs), and gave us complimentary miso soup for our orders. We had the lunch special and Soom Tofu, the beef was a bit overcooked and the pork a bit stale. The sushi was good and so was the dumpling and tempura. There was a service fee in case u wanted to add a tip.
How do you know if a restaurant is good? Its never empty and the take-out table is always busy. This little gem is sitting at a northern parnlt of Ann Arbor, in a quiet shopping area, so there is plenty of parking. Since we discovered it we frequent the place, always finding something new from the menu to add to our own personal favorite. Quality sushi, giant-size ramen and generous Bento boxes - this place is really good - so you might have to be a little more patient for you meal as the staff is quite small, but ever so friendly. The place has both cosy nooks and large tables, so it can accommodate both low-key dates and bustling groups.
