The food here was genuinely good—well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The ambiance was also very pleasant, with a cozy and stylish vibe that made it a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. That said, the lighting inside was quite dark, which made it a bit difficult to fully see the food and the space. A slightly brighter interior would really enhance the overall experience. Overall, a solid spot for good food and atmosphere, with just a small lighting adjustment needed to make it even better.

Hole in the wall that produces the best Senegalese food Ive ever had. The lamb was incredibly tender and falling off the bone, spices were amazing and everything was well seasoned but not overpowering. The jollof rice complimented the dish well and the ginger juice was delicious and balanced out all the spices of the dish. The owner told me her mother was the chef and I absolutely believe it as it tasted like home cooking and was made with love. I have had this dish at other restaurants before, but nowhere has compared to this one. 10/10 will visit again.

Saint Louis Restaurant is hands down the best new African restaurant to come to Harlem. From the very first day I walked in, the experience was amazing—and what truly made it unforgettable was the customer service. Big shout-out to Penda! She welcomed me and my girls with so much warmth and kindness from day one, and that genuine hospitality is exactly why I keep coming back. You don’t just feel like a customer there, you feel appreciated. And let’s talk about the food ,my absolute favorite dish is the chicken coco (poulet coco) . It’s flavorful,, and cooked to perfection every single time. Saint Louis is more than just a restaurant; it’s a whole experience, and Harlem is lucky to have it.

Love the food and service was great! I just wish they were clearer about how they charge you. The lamb and fish said that it came with a side of your choice, so we got jollof. But when the bill came, they charged us $5 extra per jollof and said that jollof does not count as a normal side. However, they did not tell us that before (nor did it say that on the menu). It was nice but felt a little scammed.

Well, well well, where do I start? I ordered dinner @Saint Louis Restaurant Keur Yayou Dara. I ordered Dibi Senegal, and it was super delicious. The tenderness of lamb is out of this world. Now let me touch on the seasoning, I wont even say anything, you have to try it to know what I mean. The staff were super friendly, they were all smiling. Mame Penda took my order, she was very friendly and helpful beside that the fact that she gave me some excellent recommendations. The side orders were great and the portions are very reasonable. In sum, it was a great experience. Now the burden is on you @SaintLouis Restaurant. I highly recommend this place
