Sake Japanese Restaurant Hibachi & Sushi

We tried the hibachi dinners and the sushi Food is good and plentiful The chicken was a little tough, but good flavor. Rice was delicious Sushi was nice and flavorful- there is a large variety One person had Bento Box tempura and said it was great. We’ll probably go back as there aren’t a lot of options in New Castle

Great Service every time we eat here we are served very quickly with always pleasant staff. The atmosphere is great and we come here every time we get a hankering.

We’ve eaten here for several years, but this experience was extremely disappointing. After eating sushi (raw and fried rolls) Monday night at Sake, both my husband and my 4-year-old became very sick with clear food-poisoning symptoms so much so that work had to be called off. I contacted the restaurant to let them know and to see what their policy is in situations like this, but they did not offer a refund, apology, or any form of accountability saying things like “we don’t have a policy on that, this has never happened before…I’ll check the food over again but it’s all made fresh everyday.” When a child gets sick, I expect concern and if this has never happened before then why wouldn’t you offer reimbursement considering how rare the situation. We were the only 2 people in the restaurant.. The atmosphere felt like the restaurant was closed. They were out of chicken, so we ordered sushi along with the steak and shrimp. The portion size was half of the normal hibachi restaurants. The salad was full of water. We ordered 2 half sushi rolls and 1 whole roll. The plate came out and all 3 rolls are the same size. They were soggy and very bland. The steak was chewy and the shrink were like rubber. Would not recommend eating here!

High cost for low quality, poorly flavored and served food. Calimari shown with the shrimp sushi… which was warmer than the calimari…
