Sal's Pizzeria and Catering

Firstly, I’ve gone to Sal’s Pizzeria ever since I was a kid since I used to live in Sayville so it was always a go-to place! I came here way before they did their renovations, and it was a lot bigger a long time ago when they first opened! I’ve always remembered their pizza being absolutely outrageous and delicious!!! Anyhow Aegeans Pizzeria by the sun vet mall was my all time place and on the top of my list, but unfortunately they closed so about a few months ago I went back to Sal’s to see if they were still good, as I haven’t gone there in years! I went here with my boyfriend, and I’ll tell you they definitely changed up their set up, and must’ve did some renovations since it’s a lot smaller now than it was a long time ago. Great food and great prices. First time back in NY since 08 and the pizza did not disappoint. Huge slices and the pizza and knots were amazing.

As an advert pizza lover, I travel around the Tri state looking for the best of the best, after moving to Long Island, I went around looking for a genuine authentic traditional Italian pizza and I FOUND IT AT SAL’s; from the fresh, real mozzarella cheese to the freshly picked tomato sauce, you won’t find a better tasting pizza on LONG ISLAND, and now since I found Sal’s; I stopped looking……

In my opinion the place is just plain awful and overpriced. They are all kinds of slices of pizza they did not look enticing in the least. I think three slices were 11 something I'm not sure exactly. It looked to me as if the slices were sitting around for quite some time.
