Salsas Cocina Mexicana & Cantina

I want to preface that the last time I went here, food and service was excellent. It was a little loud, but it’s expected. We went in today, Sunday (11/9/25), and saw one sign outside by the door, one on the window, and one inside on the wall saying “House Margarita $4.99.” We were excited and went inside. We sat down, got our chips and salsa, and then waited. 10 minutes go by. A table got sat behind us, and the server immediately took their drink order. We waited another 10 minutes, and the server finally came by to take our order. We ordered our drinks, my fiancé asked to confirm if the special was for the regular sized house margarita, and the server said yes. She came back to say the special doesn’t include the margarita. Came here for a quick lunch. Went to the restroom to wash my hands, no soap. Bathroom door is pretty disgusting. The waitress was very nice and attentive. She brought over a chips, salsa, and my water immediately. However the salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce and nothing like what salsa should taste like. I ordered the three shrimp tacos, Mexican style. These were by far the worst tacos I have ever had. I covered the second one in salsa to add some sort of flavor and by the third one I dug into it to see what was the issue and the shrimp appears like it may have been cooked yesterday. It was very rubbery and flavorless with chard flat portions on them. Nothing at all what shrimp should look like. Stopped by for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the super burrito with steak and loved every bite!

We had a nice dinner. The super burrito was amazing. Our server was fast and courteous. We'll be back for sure.

The food here is great. I honestly have tasted traditional Mexican style food and honestly this location does not meet the traditional authentic taste. It’s Mexican food alright but it’s missing that authentic flavor. It’s more Americanized. Overall great place to eat, great place to spend time with family and friends. The drinks are ok too.
