Salt + Smoke was a tasty spot for BBQ and a feel of southern food. They are a two story seating, fully loaded beautiful bar with many options on the menu. The trash ribs anf two choice meat plates with sides were ordered. So filling, easy to share a plate there is so much. The bracket chili and trash ribs were so bomb, would order again. Baked potatoe loaded, mac and cheese, fries...everything was good. The bathrooms were clean. Service was ok. They did service switch and service improved by a lot. Side street parking or down by the river free parking

Took take-out brisket and ribs. NO utensils given so was a bit disappointed when arrived to hotel. Mac n cheese was good. Bbq bean was good. Brisket was a bit dry. Ribs were okay. great atmosphere and excellent staff.

The food was amazing! The baked beans, Mac & cheese, and Beef fat fries were delicious! The BLT was great and so were the ribs! The food came out very fast and the service was great! Food prices are pretty reasonable. It was a bit loud due to poor acoustics. . . A bit hard to carry on a conversation.

Great patio dinner at salt and smoke! We got the trashed ribs for an appetizer. Good flavor with a delicious white sauce, ribs could have used some more meat. We split the 4 meat platter which was perfect. The tomato and green bean salad was good, but would recommend the kale crunch salad as a side. Meats were delicious. 10/10 recommend the pear 🍐 sangria! It was amazing!

Located in downtown St Charles, beautiful outdoor sitting. FOOD: let’s talk about the food. The brisket had an amazing bark and flavor while being tender. Got the burnt ends and the fatty pieces, just do it. Mac and cheese was abnormally good. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Mike, great waiter btw. He really showed great service and recommended fire food. 🥩
