Salt & Straw

We went the other day to try out their ice cream. The staff was friendly and let us try flavors. I decided on the seasonal Jack o lantern pumpkin bread and it was delicious! Definitely worth trying, the quality is great!

Good ice cream spot with a wide variety of interesting flavors. Before deciding, I sampled a few flavors, but in the end, I went with a scoop of Honey lavender and Double fold vanilla in a waffle cone. The Honey lavender was amazing! Such a rich flavor. The waffle cone was great too. Service was quick and friendly, and the shop was clean and well-kept. Salt & Straw offers both indoor and outdoor seating. It could be tough to find parking, but it is definitely worth stopping by to give Salt & Straw a try.

UPDATE: Just one month after my first experience and review, I found myself back at Salt and Straw giving it another go. I was very please and so was my Belgian Malinois. I was happy they changed the vegan flavors. It's hard being vegan sometimes and going out since vegan is limited. But these guys keep coming through with options. My dog doesn't discriminate though. He's happy with everything. I asked about the "pup cup" on the menu and they told me it's was carrot and apple slices. He wont want that. So I asked for whipped cream in a cup instead. We sat outside and enjoyed our treats. I gave him some of my vegan hazelnut ice cream. We were both happy and will be back again. The ice cream is very very good! This brand new ice cream shop is awesome! They offer tons of flavors and unlimited free samples. Everything we tried was delicious—no complaints there. The only disappointment was the menu, which listed pie, but when I asked about it, the clerk said they don’t actually sell any. Definitely misleading.

My experience here was fantastic! My family and I visited Salt & Straw after dinner one night, and we were very impressed with how clean the place is. The staff were very friendly and so kind to our toddler. There was a tall, younger employee with dark hair, very soft-spoken—helping us. They were so sweet, respectful, and very helpful! The ice cream was fantastic, and while yes, it can be pricey, the quality and customer service outshine that. I was very pleased with the variety of ice cream they offer, as well as the ways to enjoy it. I look forward to returning!
