5 stars, no question. Took my wife to Sampa in downtown LA and we left buzzing. This was our second time since they first opened. Kai and Jaeden were warm, sharp, and made everything feel effortless; service was spot on without being stuffy. The duck pancit? Crazy good. Octopus adobo had this perfect tangy kick, tempura squash blossom salad was crisp and addictive, and the kare kare tamales stole the show. Ambiance is cozy-cool, music’s just right, and honestly? The whole place just feels good. If you’re anywhere near Art District, go. Eat and enjoy. We’ll be back!

Upscale Filipino restaurant. Definitely have a good selection of food and they also participate in Dine LA every year so you can get a four course menu but you can also add on. The Kare Kare Tamale is very good with a peanut veloute sauce on top. It's a great appetizer. Next I got the Crispy Pasta that comes with crispy pork hock over spinach. Crispy Duck Pancit was next and it was recommended by my server Kai which was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. I decided to also order the Crab Fired Rice off the regular menu (it's also on Dine LA) because both options look too good to pass. I HIGHLY recommend you add that on to your order, it's great for sharing. I ended with Ube Cheesecake because you can't go to a Filipino place and not have ube.I also got a scoop of their seasonal homema

I’ve been here twice and both times were phenomenal. Nice and quiet environment with delicious entrees with the taste of the Philippines. Purists might say it’s not true and more fusion but regardless, this place has been the best/most delicious Filipino food I’ve had in my life. I highly suggest their prefix menu with six courses. Everything was delicious. The papaya salad was surprisingly phenomenal, the kare kare tamale was delicious, the fried fish was excellent, the ribeye was also great. Every dish was delicious and presented quite elegantly too. Definitely worth a visit. Customer service was great and actually met the owners/chef. A phenomenal spot and a place I’ll be going to often. I’d definitely come back here again just based off my visits. Free street Parking can be hard to

Recently went to Sampa for my girlfriend's and my birthday. I usually don't like fusion, but wanted to try something different since this place does Filipino fusion. The shared plates were pretty small, but the entrees were huge. We ordered 5-6 entrees for our group of 8 plus some shared plates and it was the perfect amount. Service was top notch and they surprised us with a birthday dessert, which was a nice touch. I was worried about the price going in, but it was well worth it. Had a great time and will definitely be back for another special occasion.

Food was amazing and unlike anything I’ve had so far in LA! Will definitely be back and recommending this place to my friends :) highly recommend the crab fried rice and crispy pasta. They also have a super unique and delicious selection of drinks (mocktails and cocktails). The service was also great, the chef came out to greet us and the staff were super friendly. The presentation of the dishes was also really nice, everything looked and tasted so good. Come check it out if you can!
