Sam’s Southern Eatery

Established in the Deep South of Shreveport, Louisiana in 2008, this southern style chain has been a mainstay in Conway. Home of the jumbo shrimp the menu offers the likes of grilled/fried seafood, chicken strips/wings, Po’ boys/burgers, salads and southern sides. Simple setup with padded booths, tables and chairs with a lot of windows that make it bright and airy. Nicely decorated and clean. Counter ordering with a large overhead menu and staff that bring the food to your tables. Kudos to Janiyah for being friendly and providing efficient service. First up was our appetizer of cheese sticks that were an immediate success as they were crispy and thick with cheese. Comes with a side of marinara sauce. Next was our grilled flounder and shrimp. Pleasantly impressed. Visiting from Florida with the wife and we've been trying a bunch of local joints in the area. I was a bit skeptical when I saw the prices but after tasting everything it seemed fair. The quality and quantity of food was good and we're both happy with our visit. We'll definitely come back next time we're up to see family.

Me and my husband have been wanting to try Sam's and we finally did today for his birthday. It was our first time there and the young lady waiting to take our order was very patient with us as my husband wanted one of everything lol he was wanting fried mushrooms but instead of those I pointed out that they had fried green tomatoes that he totally loved. I got the flounder and shrimp while he ordered the fish shrimp and oyster plate. Everything was really good (he left in a food coma lol) we definitely will be going back. Thank you again for amazing service and excellent food for his birthday lunch. It was perfect ❤️❤️❤️

Quick and affordable fare! It’s nothing fancy, but it was good! The menu is varied and offers sizing options that allow you to keep your total cost down. Sides are tasty, especially the slaw. Friendly service and comfortable interior.

Got the fried mushrooms, fish and shrimp plate, and scallops with fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. Everything tasted so good. I haven’t had really good food like this in awhile. The batter they fry everything with and you can tell it’s really fresh. So much flavor. Definitely my new favorite spot which is dangerous because I only live 2 minutes away haha. Can’t wait to try more stuff!
