Sam’s Southern Eatery / Dumas

I usually come for their grilled fish, shrimp, surprisingly good grilled chicken or crab cakes and love all of that. They had a seafood boil today which I love so I had to try it. Got the option 2 with a crab cluster, 2 potatoes, 2 corn, 2 sausage, 2 eggs and it was fantastic. Cooked very well and the seasoning was great! If you haven't tried crab before give it a chance! It's my absolute favorite seafood and everyone I know has liked it once they gave it a shot!

Wow what a surprise! Amazing fried and grilled catfish well seasoned and presented with grilled onions and green peppers. Shrimp large and delicious. Coleslaw refreshing with a hint of sweetness, fries crisp and plentiful, well seasoned red beans and rice. Hidden Gem. Located at the small airport.

Food was great. Wasn't busy that evening and only had 2 people i seen working who were great. Definitely will go back and recommend stopping by.

Excellent food with the most pleasant wait staff. Exceptionally clean and right off the highway so the perfect spot for a meal while traveling. It's off far enough with plenty of land our dog could get out and wander without danger. Perfect for the entire family, many options to choose from. Large portions as well. Delighted to have found this gem!

Everything was great! Clean restaurant& friendly staff. Cool environment, it’s right next to an airstrip. My son enjoyed watching a small plane take off. Very good food, no complaints about any of the food! All of it was hot, fresh & delicious. We ordered chicken strips w/gravy, fried catfish, grilled catfish, green beans, fries, red beans & rice. Not from Dumas but if I pass through again I will definitely stop to eat here again.
