So excited that San Honore took over the former space of Luisa and Son's. While I miss Luisa's empanadas and palabok, San Honore is a VERY welcome addition to this Island Pacific shopping plaza! No more drives to Hayward to get hot and warm pandesal, which is by far the best I've had outside of the Philippines. Warm, a little crunch, but soft inside is THE best pandesal. Getting them hot and fresh is the most favorable, but these San Honore pandesal will last awhile and still be almost as good as the day you bought them. You can buy bags that are in the displays, but if you want peak pandesal, order at the counter. They will give you a plastic bag separate from your hot pandesal (in the paper bag). When you store them at home, keep them in that plastic bag so they stay fresh. So good! Bet
SF East Bay. New-ish bakery inside Island Pacific! Loved their ube pandesal and taho. Looking forward to try their other goodies!
Food was good, the cashier was nice it was a guy. We ordered pandesal and didn’t know they sell it per dozen, so they had to void it. The lady that was voiding it was very rude “Ilan ba talaga?.” It was our first time so we didn’t know and she shouldn’t ask that to a customer that’s not how you talk to a customer. Pasalamat po kayo I have respect sa matatanda, if I didn’t have a respect I wouldve talk back to you. Then, we ordered taho she didn’t even hand it to me she just left it in the counter where’s the customer service lady? If you’re in a bad mood dont even go to work cause work and personal stuff are different things. I don’t care if you’re a manager YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER. Thank you.
Located within the international grocer, Island Pacific Store, San Honore makes great savory and sweet pastries. My favorites are the chicken empanadas and steamed barbecue pork buns. They also have sweet hot desserts/drinks like taho. Enjoy a snack that’s filling enough to be a meal.
I’ve commented about this empanada a few times already but I guess they keep selling them even if it doesn’t look like an empanada. Listen to your customers! Don’t make excuses especially the older gentleman who works there! Unfortunately I couldn’t find a way to attach photos.
