We came in after a fishing excursion on the water as I was craving some southern food. My family and I were amazed, everything we ordered was so delicious and flavorful. Staff were so kind, offering extra gravy or sauce, and were very attentive and sweet. The fried chicken was fried so well, with the batter just thick enough for a crunch, but did not overpower with the breading. I recommend the smoked chicken, with extra sauce on the side. I've never had anything like it. For dessert we got banana pudding and peach cobbler. I normally do not eat pie or dessert but I found myself finishing both for my table! The peach cobbler was soft, mildly sweet, with a caramelized crust that gave the best crunch. The banana pudding tasted fresh, was not cloying, and most importantly tasted like real ban
Hidden gem!!! Best southern/ soul food we had on our Savannah Vacation!! Superb service too! We loved the way there was limited menu and after we ordered at the register and sat down, the food was there in less than 2 minutes!! Very savory! The staff is the family that owns the restaurant and they were friendly and very happy to chat about the food! May even schedule a trip back this way just to enjoy this spot again!!
I’ve been wanting to come here after seeing such great reviews from friends and today I finally did! The service was friendly, the decor is southern and charming, food was delicious! I started off with the mini peach cornbread (a must try) then I had the fried chicken, baby limas and mashed potatoes! All seasoned perfectly. I ended with the banana pudding (owners mom’s recipe) and it was perfect! Will 100% be back
We loved our experience here tonight. It was our first time and our Godson's umpteenth time eating there. Wayne was kind and accommodating, as he is anywhere, and Kelsi was a joy to watch as she took care of the customers. The atmosphere is delightfully simple. Nothing matches and I love it. Plenty of art to look at as well.
The food was AMAZING!!! Best meal in Savannah - it’s outside of the town. A great spot to get away from the hustles of downtown. They made the best peach cobbler and you’ve got to try the banana cobbler. The food came out quick and hot. My husband & I shared 3 plates! It’s a must if you’re in Savannah!
