I can’t give less than one star because it doesn’t let me, but I do not recommend this place. I ordered a pupusa, and it came in a plastic bag — I was shocked! After seeing that, I completely lost my appetite, but I tried to understand and thought maybe that’s just how they send it. Today, I ordered pupusas again, and the cabbage was cut into huge pieces, very poorly chopped. My surprise came when I opened some enchiladas or tostadas — honestly, I couldn’t even tell what they were! They were very greasy, and to my shock, each piece was wrapped in plastic and placed inside plastic bags. I had never seen something so terrible and disrespectful. Literally, there were no plates, just plastic bags. When I called, they told me that’s how they always send it. Then I opened the beef soup, and th
Stopped by Santa Fe Restaurant for lunch and ordered the carne asada with white rice and sweet plantains. The steak was nicely grilled and flavorful, the rice was fluffy, and the plantains were just right and crispy on the edges and sweet inside. I also tried the Cola Champagne soda, which was refreshing and had a smooth, nostalgic taste. That said, the plate did feel a little simple just the meat, rice, and plantains. I personally would’ve liked a small salad or a dipping sauce to round it out a bit more. That might just be my taste, though. Still, the food was solid, the service was kind, and it’s a great spot for a casual Salvadoran lunch. I’d recommend giving it a try if you’re nearby and in the mood for a comforting, no-fuss meal.
I've liked everything I've ever ordered, from the pupusas, empanadas, to the meals, including the sides. The food is simple but tasty and it comes out quick and fresh. They have the best cheese empanadas too.
Delicious food, generous portions, reasonable prices, friendly service. We love it, it's our third time to go there and we'll continue. You can park across the street in the Aldi.
Presentation is regular. The Pupusas were not good. The cheese used in the pupusas is not “quesillo” which must be use for a pupusa. The cabbage(curtido) and red sauce were freshly made and very good. The orchata as well. Prompt service, will come back to try other dishes. Gave this place another chance and regret it. I had the pollo guisado and the chicken was not cooked through I sent it back and got a leg that still wasn’t cooked. Not recommending this place.
