Sapodilla's Caribbean Restaurant and Catering Ft. Washington

First time patronizing, the ambience is astounding. The food is authentic although it was semi slow service with no customers at the time I was there. The sorrel drink was not authentic true to Caribbean culture however it was a nice mixture. The con to here is be prepared for the built in gratuity even if your alone sitting at the bar. Very pricey with lack of parking .

Carrie is the sweetest and gives the best recommendations!! I got the ginger creole branzino and my friend got the curry goat and roti. She never misses a detail and treats her customers like home. She’s informative and her personality is above and beyond!!! Will be back for sure :) <3

I ordered through UberEats because I was feeling lazy. My order arrived about an hour later; I live about fifteen minutes away. I was highly disappointed in the portion size. The chicken curry was in a container that was roughly the same size as the coa coa bread. The bread was very VERY dry. I remember eating here a few h years ago. It was fair. I didn’t enjoy it at all this time. I definitely didn’t receive $45 worth of food and no this doesn’t include all the fees UberEats charge.

My experience at Sapodillas was wonderful. Ms. Kitts was absolutely fantastic so sweet, professional, and caring. It felt like visiting your mom because she makes you feel genuinely cared for. I ordered the plait bread and black cake; everything was delicious 😋. She genuinely went above and beyond for me. In the name of Jesus, I pray that this business continues to thrive with Jesus' protection and guidance.

The owner was so rude to me! I ordered Oxtails takeout and wanted my rice and peas separately because I didn't want it to soak up my gravy. Ms. Kitt got and attitude and started complaining and screamed "GIRL, I did what I could do!" Was my request that hard? It was just a simple request. She truly ruined my evening and I will NEVER return to this etablishment again. To add, she put the oxtails in the small side dish instead of the main dish compartment. So, I paid $25 for an appetizer and I received a bunch of cabbage for my main entrée...smh Our purchase was a total price of $73.
