I went to Tanforan as of today, the guy serving the chicken from 5 to 5:15pm. is the rudest person in the world I ever met. This was my child hood. his actions already shows it all. I just asked if this was already double portion because I go all the time and I know what a regular order is and a double portion is because I’m a big back.so I just double checked with them just to see what he was going to say, and he started talking smack in his language, thinking I did not understand I hope they can make a change because people really enjoy this place, but they will stop going because of the customer service that they give. If I can recall in his language he had said “is she that big”
We love the Teriyaki Chicken with extra chicken and sauce. Our favorite, always good. Always our go to.
I heard the one in San Francisco Centre was closing, and remembered this one was still open. Since they opened there in 2014, they'd often have someone giving out samples of the signature chicken, but I never was there during a meal time to order. As Tanforan is shutting down for redevelopment, Finally I did patronize Sarku after years of procrastination. So it was great, I ordered the best selling chicken teriaki combo with rice and brocolli. The teriaki flavor was really subtle, in that it was not very strong, but enough to notice. The brocolli had kind of a janky safeway brocolli bag taste, but it was okay because the rice was tasty and overall the whole thing was good and fulfilling. I would give the food 4.5 stars. I had some leftover chicken bits and might put some sauce o
I think it’s great. I really like the chicken and shrimp with rice. I’ve had the beef and that was very good too. Very well priced considering everything is expensive these days. I just hate the parking situation. You have to park far and walk over because they are in the mall
Update. "Welcome back," was how I was greeted before ordering the $7.99 Tuesday special, Teriyaki chicken with steamed rice and salad along with 'double meat.' Which made it a little over $10.00. Though I haven't been to Sarku Japan in approximately 2 years, I decided to give them another chance. Besides, I'm not 100% sure that, a meal from them gave me some stomach issues. That said, this visit was impressive. It was simply delicious. Check 'em out the next time you're in San Bruno.
