Sarmentine - Organic French Bakery

Such a great spot! The quality of the food is amazing! you can really taste the care and French know-how in both the pastries and savory items. Everything is fresh, beautifully made, and absolutely delicious. The place itself is lovely and calm, perfect for enjoying a coffee and a treat. The staff is also very welcoming and attentive, which makes the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic French bakery vibes!

Great selection of pastries and bakeries. I like almond croissant and always order it at every bakery place I go visit. I really liked almond croissant here. My friend ordered ham and cheese croissant and she liked it, too. I will give them a visit again next time I’m in Petaluma.

Worth going for coffee (get a large) if you’re in Petaluma for the morning. Very tasty French style pastries & breads. We actually walked there from our hotel downtown (~25 minutes one way) and so had some food as well. We’ll go there again someday

Easily the closest example of a french bakery/Patisserie since I moved to the US from Burgundy in 2015. I had the pleasure of France’s best baker/pastry chef being my local, in Dijon. These pastries at Sarmentine are very close. The almond-pear tartelette is my current go-to, and the macarons are sublime!

The look and feel of the good match the taste, simple amazing. The young lady was not exactly knowledgeable on the breads or ingredients. But overall an amazing experience
