Saxbys at Community College of Philadelphia

I really enjoy stopping in Saxby's during my morning commute. I oftentimes see my students working behind the counter which is always so exciting. I really enjoy their French Toast Muffin and the various burritos offered at this location.

Look, I get that lattes and sugary cold brew is more popular than drip coffee, but that doesn’t mean you serve lukewarm coffee at 9:30am. I wanted to turn around and ask for a my money back or a fresh cup but I had to get to class. Second time I tried it was a bit warmer but still clearly sitting for a while and overdue for a fresh batch. Most recently I got an iced matcha latte and after my first sip I asked for a LITTLE bit of simple syrup. I ended up getting three large pumps. Now I know to just go to Bisson Coffee two blocks away where your dollar goes farther.

Inordinately long wait time. They need a third person during morning shift. No decaf coffee options (for a half caf moment), though the matcha latte was made well. The bagel’s texture was as if it had been microwaved (sacrilege!). Two hours later, my stomach still feels so heavy and sad. Will likely be walking to Dunkin next time 🤷 updating review to 5 stars because I went back. Fred made a perfect matcha latte and made an otherwise difficult morning better

The employees are always so friendly and helpful. My order is always made fast and accurately. I highly recommend the chai latte!

This Saxby’s location is run by students at the Community College of Philadelphia: By Lions, For Lions. They do a great job every day. The place is clean, well-stocked, and everyone is friendly and courteous. Huge shout out to all the student workers and CEO’s who are part of the Octavius Catto Scholarship!
