Check your tickets when you dine here! There is an automatic 20% gratuity and on top of that, a hidden credit card fee! This “restaurant” is nestled among bars on 20th street in the Heights. We were looking for a quick late dinner (8:30 pm) and found ourself here. There were only about 5 other parties when we arrived. The music was booming like a club, but the parking attendant asked us if we were eating at the “restaurant,” so against my better judgment, we dined anyways. No one greets us when we walk in. We seat ourselves and wait for one of the several servers standing around to greet us, but no one does. My husband goes to the bar to grab a menu, a server then noticed him and brings us menus. This location is very nice and aesthetic. The food was really good. We got quesadillas and a ceviche tostada. Drinks were amazing!

"Watch your bill" I live just two blocks away and was excited to support a new neighborhood spot, but my first visit was likely my last due to some very "sketchy" billing practices. I came specifically for the Happy Hour and the "fish tacos" $13.95 advertised on their website, but the in-store price was very much higher. Even though the server confirmed the website was wrong, she told me the owner refused to honor the advertised price. We were the only ones at the restaurant. Despite being told this would be "fixed immediately," the lower price remains on their website weeks later. Our bill for only 2 people included: - An undisclosed 20% automatic gratuity. - A credit card surcharge that wasn't mentioned by staff or on the menu. - Several other incorrect charges that we had to catch.

Food was good, I’ll give them that. But the $15 margarita.. what a let down. The standard, hand-made margarita on the rocks tasted like tart, lime juice concentrate and tequila. Couldn’t finish it. Confusing menu.. we went during happy hour on a Thursday and the listed special was 1/2 off appetizers and 1/2 of signature cocktails, which sees like a solid deal for the heights. The entire group ordered from the cocktails menu and only half of the drinks were 1/2 off. The server couldn’t tell us what was and what wasn’t included, you just have to guess and hope. Seemed like a purposely deceptive menu, and they add an automatic 20% gratuity after taxes. I was highly impressed with this restaurant. The cabana hut was so intriguing and the atmosphere was perfect. Gavier at the entrance was so welcoming and offered us mexican candy shots on the house! We order margaritas and ceviche and it all tasted amazing! Not to mention, after hours they let us in to use the bathroom when we made another purchase:) Definitely going back! Perfect to start the evening with the girls! ☺️
