Schoolhouse Grounds Coffee Shop

We arrived twenty minutes till close and there was a bit of a line. However, despite eventually being closed with a few customers left, they continued to serve and make one of the best lattes I’ve ever had! I got the Honey Bee special with homemade vanilla syrup, honey and cinnamon. Perfect for a chilly fall day! The space was adorable and the pastries and food looked amazing.

Fantastic place - excellent coffee, outstanding simple breakfast, great vibe. One might be tempted to take a chainsaw to the vegetation across the road to make it perfect with a lake view, but it is really pleasant as it is. Very nice proprietors.

This is a quaint little coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. The lady who runs it is also very nice. Our iced lattes were good, but the proportions of coffee and milk were definitely off, leaving our lattes more milky than the standard. Still a good find and about the only coffee shop anywhere close. Iced lattes were about $8 each with a flavor.

The atmosphere is nice. Loved the use of the original chalkboard as the menu board. However - the prices are really high for what you get. Ive rarely, if ever, spent so much on a single coffee, even in cities - $9 for a 20 oz and I'm not even sure it was 20- and that was before tip! I ordered a mocha (which is a menu item) and somehow I was charged $2 extra dollars just for the mocha - shouldn't that be included? If syrup is an extra $2 that seems crazy to me - especially when we are considering a beverage that requires the syrup in order to exist. No prices or upcharges were listed on the menu board (picture attached). The mocha was old and congealed. The drink itself was very milky; I didn't taste espresso. Everything about Schoolhouse coffee was great! Amazing service that attracts even better people. They are veteran friendly and accepted that I had a service dog with me. We had a beautiful breakfast and conversation with a couple this morning there and didn’t want to leave because it was so perfect. The smiles on the workers face lets you know that they love doing what they do and serving the customers that visit the Adirondacks. 10 out of ten recommend to everyone visiting this area.
