Scoopers

Drove through GSMNP and wanted a cool treat once we got to Cherokee. Scoopers was the first thing we saw so we stopped and I’m glad we did! Very good ice cream and they have “lawn games” set up inside for kids to play, which our oldest enjoyed. They have scoop flight options where you get a sample size of 4 or 6 flavors. My husband and I split a 6 scoop flight and we just kept saying how we wished more places would do that! Such a great idea! The ice cream portion of the store (I believe it’s also a place to tube rental for the river) seemed very short staffed, but the young girl that served us was very sweet and did a great job! Not many options for food/treats outside of ice cream and bottled pop.

I was expecting a larger ice cream selection, but the ice cream was delicious. Would love to see sorbet or dairy free options available, but did appreciate that they had candy so that my kiddo who is allergic to dairy had an option for a treat

Did not eat there because nobody would help me. I just wanted a soda. We rented tubes there. They did not tell us the water level was low. This was a very dangerous tube trip. We all ended up bruised up and cut up. It was like a bad episode of survivor. I'm still hurting a week later and had to go to the DR . Truly awful experience
