I just came into Scott’s By Dam by happenstance in the middle of the day for lunch. I was so pleasantly surprised with the excellent price, ambiance and the friendly staff. Scott did such an excellent job at making me feel welcome and valued. The food quantity was enormous as well, the large Buffalo chicken taco was massive as well as delicious. I highly recommend coming to try the food and meeting the wonderful people here.

My coworker grew up in Johnstown so I asked her where is a good place to eat? She told me Scott's by Dam. He will treat you well... he treats everyone well!! What a wonderful eatery. Great food served by an incredible family who welcomes all. Nobody is a stranger here! Super place. Super people!

If there is a more welcoming, warm and friendly place to get great food and drink, I'd love for someone to tell me. I don't think it exists other than your family table. Great bar food, wide selection of spirits and beer. Staff is ultra friendly as regulars came in and out the entire night. Found ourselves staying, not really knowIng why. We will definitely be back and recommending it every time.

As others have said, this is a really great place. I came from out of town to see a Tomahawks game and there are plenty of fans that come here. The owner Scott is all over the place, mingling and helping with food/drinks. Really great guy. This is a bar where everyone seems to know each other, but outsiders are welcomed. Oh yeah, the tacos...huge and filling!

I enjoyed my experience! It is a small bar but tastefully done. I met the owner, who I assume is Scott, and he was such a nice guy. He shook my hand and thanked me for coming in. I had the Taco which is their specialty and it was excellent. I'm glad I ordered the small because it was big. If you are in J-town, I would recommend stopping in!
