Scrooge's Fine Foods & Drink

We went here for Sunday lunch and overall it was a really good experience. I got the bacon wrapped sirloin which was great and reasonably priced too. It came with three sides so it ended up being a lot of food. I really liked the squash casserole and the dressing but it was a little weird that they put white gravy on the dressing. I have only ever had brown gravy on dressing and I wasn’t a fan of the combination with white gravy.

Scrooge's is great. The inside atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. The lunch specials are good and good value. Each day is a different special, but a set rotation. The chicken spaghetti (no longer on the regular lunch menu) and red beans are famous. The fried chicken breast is amazing. The vegetables are always seasoned and good. The Comeback dressing is spicier than most and keeps you coming back! Choice of French bread, hush puppies, cheese biscuit or cornbread. I usually go for the hush puppies! Friendly service and lots of regulars. This is Cheers of Jackson, MS. Great bar scene, think Cheers!, and comfortable dining room. Eat here often!

I visited 2 different occasions and got the boneless fried chicken lunch special. First let me say both times the chicken was cooked perfectly I mean the taste was great. Once I got Mac and cheese and rice and gravy and another time I got the dressing and sweet potato Casserole as you can tell by the pictures tried my best to season with salt and pepper but the flavor for the sides just wasn’t there. I will definitely visit again because that chicken was the bomb. Service was great.

Went here almost a full week ago and have thought about it since. The food was DELICOUS! I could eat the lemon spinach forever it's so good! Our server was awesome I believe her name was Aspen. I plan to bring my family sometime so they can all try it :)

We had the best eating experience this past Thanksgiving at Scrooge’s. The staff were very friendly, fast, and attentive. The food was AMAZING!! It was like grandma used to make. I highly recommend it, but come with an empty belly bc you will definitely fill it to the top!!
