SEA BAKERY: Spice of East Africa

Please for all our sakes, go here and spend money! So awesome having a place to get East African groceries in our area! Small little store with everything you could possibly need! Fresh injera at a great price, all the basic Ethiopian spices like berbere, awaze, and shiro. Literally everything you need to go home and cook up some Ethiopian dinner! Even better, they have a case of tasty fresh baked snacks including sambusa and fritters. On top of all that, the gentleman at the register was very friendly! Very very happy I finally stopped in here!

Friendly place with spices, dry goods, and of course baked goods. We haven't tried the injira yet, but the lentil hand pies and semi-sweet caraway donuts are both delicious. Bonus for me, a coffee roaster: they sell green coffee beans from Yirgacheffe! The price is good, and the coffee roasted up great.

Great place. We tried the special ethiopian bread, Samosa and injera and they were all great. Their prices are low. Please support them as these guys know how to cook.

Very good Sambusa, and the best quality Injera for the best price at any market I have been to in Portland.
