01/01/25 Sea Grill Coral Gables Every time that I come to the Shops at Merrick Park, I definitely make a stop at the Sea Grill Coral Gables. From the gracious host, to the full staff, they are very attentive, friendly and professional. The atmosphere is Casual, in the patio and Elegant in the main dining room. The Food is a fusion between Italian and Greek even though they make sure that you have access to the authentic cuisine of either Italy or Greece. I was taken for my birthday this last Saturday and I was truly amazed at how delicious the food was. We were 9 and no one complained about anything. Our server Mikael went above and beyond to help me celebrate and created a beautiful plate of desserts for me. He was always making sure we had water at the table and wine was served chilled.

The service was attentive, the atmosphere inviting, and the setting beautiful. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. The chicken parmigiana was clearly reheated—the breast was tough and dry, almost inedible. Even worse, the $60 steak was one of the poorest cuts I’ve had in a long time: lacking flavor, overly fatty, riddled with tendons, and far from tender.

This was our first time dining here, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service from our server, Maikel. He made sure we were happy the entire time and treated us with genuine care. When my husband asked for a dinner recommendation, Maikel confidently said, “I got you, I’ll bring you something you’ll love,” and surprised him with a lobster plate. It was incredibly delicious and perfectly prepared. Between the outstanding food and Maikel’s wonderful service, our first visit was unforgettable, and definitely not our last!
