Señor Leon Mexican Cantina & Grill

Came here for dinner with my husband for the first time visiting Niagara Falls, the food was amazing and flavorful. The frozen margarita drinks were so good. Our waiter was very nice and welcoming. Service was pretty quick since we came a little late at 9 pm. Would definitely be coming back when we visit again.

We enjoy Senor Leon’s whenever we are craving Mexican cuisine. So far, it’s been the best Mexican food we can find in the Niagara Falls area. The service is usually great. They offer a senior (55+ ) discount on Mondays. They are a bit pricey, compared to places we are used to, but it’s still one of the better Mexican restaurants in the area.

The service was fast and attentive. The food came out fast and hot. Great flavors! We arrived hungry and left satisfied! The guacamole dip was delicious. The chorizo pollo and chicken taco salad were excellent.

This was one happy accident. Our normal NF Mexican place was closed so we wound up here. It was late but people kept coming in the door. The hostess was clearly overwhelmed and could have done better greeting those at the door so they didn't leave. Our waitress though, despite being very tired was an absolute doll (wish I remembered her name), she was pleasant, helpful, and didn't let a long day get her down. The jalapeno margarita was top notch! We absolutely loved all our food as well. This place is a must try. Love the paintings and black light too!

This is the third location for the Señor Leon group (the others are in Batavia and Walden Galleria), and it might be their best yet. The good: The interior is spacious and beautifully done—they clearly invested heavily in the décor and furnishings. It feels upscale without being stuffy. Service was excellent (shout-out to Maria—she’s a gem). I started with their classic margarita—big, bold, and served in a heavy glass that matched the drink’s personality. They offer a large menu that blends upscale Tex-Mex with authentic Mexican dishes. Having worked extensively throughout Mexico (outside the tourist zones), I give them high marks for the selection—even if the flavors are toned down a bit, likely to suit the local palate (you know what I mean).
