Shaggy's Gulfport Beach

I really wanted to love Shaggy’s because the location is absolutely beautiful and the wait staff provided excellent customer service. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food just didn’t match the experience. The fish tacos tasted overly sweet — almost like a sugar sandwich — and the fish itself was dry. The pork dish was just okay; the salsa on top was the best part of it. The po’boy was average and didn’t really stand out. The highlight of the meal was definitely the spinach dip. Timing was also a bit off. The appetizer took quite a while to come out, but then the entrées arrived almost immediately afterward, which made the pacing feel rushed. We had the BEST experience at Shaggy’s Gulfport thanks to MS. JUSTINE! She was beyond sweet to me, my husband, and our three kids. She checked on us often, made sure the kids were happy, and had such a warm, positive attitude the entire time. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests. Food was so good, but the service is what made it unforgettable. 10/10 recommend asking for her!

Lovely spot we stopped in on. Beautiful view of the ocean while you eat. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Everything tasted so fresh. The cheesecake was INCREDIBLE. Appreciate the military discount!

Food was great and priced well! My husband and I sat outside and had Nathan as our server and he was great! 10/10 recommend coming here and seeing him! He worked around eating restrictions I have and gave awesome recommendations!

Austyn was great at answering all of our questions about the menu and offering suggestions. We truly enjoyed our experience eating there. The atmosphere was great, beer was cold, and the food was delicious.
