Shah's Halal East Meadow

I was in East Meadow recently and craving halal food, so I decided to check out Shah’s Halal after seeing a wave of positive reviews online. The place itself is spacious and visually appealing—clean, well-lit, and inviting. I walked in expecting a smooth experience, especially since I was on a tight lunch break. I ordered something simple: a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The woman at the counter asked what I wanted, but that was it—no follow-up, no offer to add fries or a drink, which I actually wanted. She called someone from the back to prepare my sandwich, but instead of getting started, he took the next customer’s order and began making that one first. I was told it would take 7 minutes. It ended up taking 15. Eventually, the woman went to the back herself and made the sandwich. I did

The lady behind the counter is exceptionally happy and kind. Such a pleasure to visit this location. The gentleman has a great sense of humor. We ordered online, texted back asap to confirm working on it, ready exactly at the time sent. Wow, friendly staff, hot food, on time service, triple wow!

Best place for takeout. Don’t order a pickup in leu of deals from Uber and DoorDash!!! They will not make it up to the mark. Trust my recommendation and experience go order at the counter they will give you twice as much portion size and meat just give them the instructions it’s a live counter they ask you to put what and what not.

The customer service was amazing and so fast. I brought my boyfriend and he had a gyro and I had a platter . We were both satisfied with the food and the excellent service and left a cash tip.

Loved the gyro very tasty. The sauces were very good 👍. It was spicy, but to spicy to where the after taste burns 🔥 your mouth and stomach. The after taste created the atmosphere made me feel like I was 7yrs old again. 😆 I will be back and I will be a regular customer. Great place to eat. 👍 👌
