Shane's Rib Shack

Shane's has been better in the past. Not this afternoon. Not one employee smiled. I ordered takeout and about 1/3 of the way of eating my food, I found a hair in my pork. See the photos.

My family and I were passing through. Decided to stop because we were getting hungry. And found this place. We walked in, and the cashier looked at us, then spoke. When I went to ask questions, she was making faces at me like I was speaking French. I had to let her know, we're not from around there and what does she suggested. It was awkward to me. I wished I felt welcomed, but maybe it was the area. You can have signs that have warming words, but actions speak louder. The atmosphere was ok. The food was good. My kids thought they were going to take a while and walked to Gamestop. Food came, and I immediately ate my okra, lol. My pulled pork barbecue was ok, I'm not going to lie. North Carolina still has the best barbecue. They had this hot sauce that was delicious, so delicious I asked

I bought a 100.00 in meals tonite . First of all the girl running the register needs to learn customer service skills, before she’s allowed to wait on customers . Second I had two bowls of Brunswick stew , they put it in little dinky cup holders , so when I stopped at the red light they come out of the holders and poured all over the front of my car. I called the manager to complain about this . I see why the employees there are the way they are , because she had zero customer skills herself. She didn’t apologize or offer to replace them . So if your order isn’t bagged right and you spill it by accident , don’t look for no sympathy from the manager because she could care less .needless to say but I WONT BE BACK .

2025- 3star I don’t understand why you’d put a cold coleslaw and potato salad on the bottom of the container and put hot ribs on top it… so you made the hot items a lil cooler but made the cold items warm… there was a bag to put the cold stuff in, away from the hot items, so why????? Please don’t mix cold and hot… not everyone eats the food in the car. There has been a few mistakes lately. Yesterday she did not even get her coleslaw. Very disappointing … 2023 4Star- They were friendly. Super Fast! The food was good… really good… just one thing.. they did not give me any sauce for my pulled pork. Every other restaurant gives you their sweet stuff or ask you. That was a major let down! I didn’t know I had to ask. I would think it’s common to give it. Sauce is always given.

Nice lunch portion to try variety of meat. Good flavor and original BBQ sauce was nice. Nothing too overpowering. Delivery via DDash. Will definitely stop in for pickup and get more delicious items.
