I found this sweet little place absolutely charming. The naan was excellent - light but with a crispy char that ballooned up into an excellent sccop for the delicious sauces. We had bindi and butter chicken and a lamb curry. So good! Complexly spiced yet the heat didn’t overwhelm our friend with a sensitive palate. I would definitely recommend. (Caveat: I am not of Southeast Asian decent but eat the cuisine in New York and Detroit and San Francisco quite a bit.)
Very happy with my chicken tikka masala although i wish there was a piece or two of naan that came with it which I thought I'd get. I enjoyed so much I went to the corner store and made my own naan bc I needed some with there gravy, The sauce is heavy but that's what I ordered. I haven't had Indian food in a while but this stuff is made with TLC for sure
I’ve heard great things about Shanti, and they seemed to live up to expectations. It was pretty empty on a Friday night, and the interior is modern and classy. There’s complimentary papadam with tamarind, mint chutney, and tomato dip - the tamarind was fantastic! I ordered the vegetable samosas, which were really fresh. They’re big and pack a lot into them, so well worth your money despite only having 2 per order. I got the malai kofta on the server’s recommendation and really liked it, especially the sauce.
I love it here! Every time we come to Boston we have to make a visit, even if just for takeout. The service is lovely and the food is superb. I love the veggie pakora, chicken tikka masala, sag paneer and naans as a staple and mix it up from there. There’s a reason they’ve won so many awards, it is excellent.
Just had a phenomenal lunch here! I know Boston isn't known for having great Indian food, but this restaurant is easily an exception. Their samosas were great, the garlic naan was incredible, and I would highly recommend the saag paneer. For other items, the chicken tikka masala was tasty and I also enjoyed the mango lassi! The owner is super friendly and can be seen at many a food event in Boston, such as Men of Boston in October. I would easily come back here if I'm in the area and I'm glad it wasn't busy with the rain!
