Shark Beach Burgers

What a gem! We drove from Fort Worth to visit Palo Duro and ride horses at Cowgirls and Cowboys of the West and decided to stop at Shark Beach on a whim. It was such a treat!!! We got a burger, chicken sandwich and fries which were all so delicious and very reasonably priced. We also had a chance to meet the owner and his wife while eating who were as kind and inviting as could be. They were setting up the restaurant for a murder mystery party that night and also mentioned several concerts that they hold throughout the year in the “beach space” behind the restaurant. Really cool project they have going on here that is more than just a restaurant. It is the perfect mix of good vibes of the beach and the kindness of the people from Amarillo. 10 stars!

I loved the food and service! The atmosphere is fun and beachy - I’m sure its a blast when there’s live music - the eclectic decor is pretty cool and fun but the mannequins creeped me out a bit 🤣 I’m sure that’s just a personal opinion- I get the vibe 😉

Shark Beach in Amarillo is one of those places you walk into and instantly feel like you made the right choice. The food hits the spot, the drinks are cold, and the vibe makes you forget you are in the middle of the Panhandle. The music, the lights, the whole beach theme. It all works. It is the kind of spot where you end up staying longer than you planned because it feels too good to leave. Brian, the owner, is the real deal. Friendly, welcoming, and running the place with the kind of pride you do not see everywhere. You can tell he cares about the customers and the atmosphere. First time here, got to meet the owner! He was very friendly and glad to talk to us. Burgers were PERFECTLY cooked, I ordered the double cheeseburger and it was so juicy and tender, the cheese just melted in my mouth. The fries were nice and hot, and had just the right amount of salt. The drink I received was large so I had plenty to drink! Little to none wait time (was a weekday) but a delicious meal nonetheless. Atmosphere is very beautiful, makes you feel like you’re at the beach! They have events on the weekend for cover bands like AC/DC or Brooks and Dunn!

We have had an excellent experience every time. Live music is always good and the Bingo was fun. Spicy chicken sandwich with extra shark sauce and curds hit the spot! Always happy to support a good local business
